About Our Partner Organisation
The Solomon Islands Ministry of Justice and Legal Affairs (MJLA) oversees the review and updating of laws in the Solomon Islands. They also oversee the formation of legal policy and provide leadership and corporate services to the five Solomon Islands justice agencies. They have a team of around 20 staff covering various functions including policy and planning and monitoring and reporting.

What You’ll Do
As a VSA Volunteer, you'll immerse yourself in the vibrant culture of the Solomon Islands working alongside the MJLA team to help them achieve their goal of accurately evaluating the work the Justice and Legal sector does with a view of highlighting improvements.

In this role you will help MJLA create and implement a monitoring, evaluation, research and learning framework to better understand the impact the sector is having, identify achievements and highlight lessons to be learned.  

Your Skills and Experiences
  • A Qualification and experience in Monitoring and Evaluation or related field
  • Knowledge of monitoring and evaluation and/or programme planning
  • Knowledge of donor reporting requirements/systems
  • Experience in communication and stakeholder engagement
